Wheelchairs Arrived in Kenya

The Cub wheelchairs you helped fund have arrived in Kenya and will soon be put to good use by children with disabilities. Collaborating with BethanyKids Assistive Technology team, Luke McAuley (OT missionary), and Kenyan Pediatric OT specialty students ensures these wheelchairs are distributed effectively and provide the much-needed support to those who require it. Studying their impact will not only help improve the design and functionality of the wheelchair, but also contribute to enhancing the quality of life for these children and families in Kenya and other countries. Your efforts are making a significant difference!

Team leaving for Kenya in 11 days!We have a passionate group of nine team members leaving for Kenya soon.  Please keep us in your prayers as we begin the journey.  Having a committed team like this is something Wings Aloft does not take for granted. Team members take off two weeks from their jobs, self-fund their trips, and give of themselves tirelessly.  Yes we do have fun and love what we do!  If supporting the team in prayer is something you would like to do please let us know! We would love to have a strong prayer team who we can count on!

A Beautiful Event

This year we were excited to have the opportunity to pilot our first friend-raising gala. Our aim for this event was to raise awareness versus having a focus on fundraising, as we want to build relationships with others who want to share our mission of propelling participation. While the goal was not set specifically towards fundraising, we were beyond grateful to have 21 wheelchairs raised by the end of the evening! Wings Aloft is thankful for the many friends we made, volunteers who donated their time before and during the evening, and the many guests who shared the evening with us.
In addition, we had the opportunity to thank and honor a founding board member Dr. Lynn Jeffries.  Her presence and her support made this evening extra special!Thank you again to all of our friends and family for the continued support! Take a look at a few special moments from this magical evening. If you did not get to come this year, hold onto your hats for next year!
